The honest exception
When Matterport earns its keep.
Above roughly $700K, or on any listing where a meaningful share of likely buyers are relocating from out of state and buying before they can walk the home, Matterport's fidelity and measurement accuracy do real work. Windermere, Isleworth, and Dr. Phillips lakefront inventory is where the polish and the accurate floor plan justify the added cost.
Our take
For most agents in the $400K to $700K bracket, Zillow 3D Home is the right call and it already ships inside a Showcase or Premier shoot. Above that, Matterport's measurement accuracy and brand polish are worth booking separately. Match the tool to the buyer, not to the trend.

- No. Aerial Shots Media delivers Zillow 3D Home, not Matterport. Zillow 3D Home fits the vast majority of Central Florida residential listings and carries no ongoing hosting fee for the agent. Matterport runs on a hosting subscription that would push the price up, and outside of its dollhouse view it does not add enough for the residential listings we focus on. It is a strong product for commercial and specialty properties, and for those a Matterport-only provider is the right call.
- Is a 3D tour worth it if I already have photos and video?
- On most listings, yes, because the tour serves the buyer who wants to move through the floor plan at their own pace, which photos and a scripted video do not do. On a starter home where layout is simple, it matters less; on anything with an unusual or open floor plan, it earns its place.
